The farm had been a dream of Kirk’s for decades and finally became a reality in 2016. We began with vegetables and herbs with flowers occasionally but soon realized we loved flowers too-- maybe more. It is a labor of love, our passion, and our joy to bring some beauty into the world. Lady Bird Johnson says it best- “Where Flowers Bloom, So Does Hope.” Now more than ever, the world needs more hope.
Kirk and I both have degrees in horticulture. Kirk went to Auburn, while I (Allison) went to Virginia Tech - there is a lot of orange in our house. Shout out to Land Grant Schools! Together we have over 50 years of experience in the field and love to pass along our knowledge and the joy of creating a place to relax. We hope it brings a new perspective to the day. My degree is is Horticulture Education so some days it hard to get me to stop talking. Kirk’s degree is in fruits and veggies so he is a wealth of information too.
Our flower availability is always changing. Ranunculus, anemones, and poppies in Spring. Snapdragons and Peonies too. Zinnias, Celosia, Gomphrena, and Sunflowers in Summer and Dahlias and Tuberose in the Fall.
